Birthday Road Trip

My birthday present to myself was hitting the open road with just my thoughts, a killer playlist, and my camera. Union Grove Park was one of my first stops. Took this photo there.

Often people tell me that they want to go on one of my photo road trips, but I think it is rare, the person that could survive, let alone thrive under the conditions of my pilgrimages. But applicants are welcome, but you know, they aren’t often accepted.

  1. I think I’ve been on 2: Backbone/Strawberry Point and SW Iowa. They were great trips!

  2. Angie,

I’m probably going to pull some of the themes ahead of time since I’ll be gone for a week at the end of the month. Maybe pick out a good theme or it could be completely unrelated. But the main thing you have to understand is that these trips don’t run on a schedule… The best I can do is set a goal time for when to be back by.

    Shannon,

Both of those trips were quite a bit dryer than my most recent trips. Returning to Backbone is definitely on my list.

  3. Well, let me know if you want to do a photo road trip anytime. Also, I hope you have fun at the end of the month!

  4. If we go on a wetter photo road trip, let me know. I will remember to pack extra shoes! Jason has never been to Backbone, so I think we might spend a day there shortly after the Fourth of July.

  5. Not sure when I’m going to hit the open road again. This Saturday some wetness might happen, but that isn’t really a road trip. Well sorta is.. Sorta isn’t.

Going to take a Friday off at some point and go on a road trip with Willy that will definitely be dirty. But after that, there isn’t really any road trips in my sights. Not yet any way.
