A bit from the old backlog. These pictures were taken on July 20.

Grandma's Garage Sale

Grandma's Garage Sale

Grandma's Garage Sale

The zinnias were photographed in my very own Photography 139 Flower Garden.

The garage sale pictures were from my Grandma’s somewhat controversial garage sale. I think that is the spin doctor way to describe the garage sale. I wasn’t involved in an controversy, but there was some.

I did walk out of there with quite the collection of randoms. Some of the stuff might be used to hold drinks for a future birthday party. If I decided to have one. I’m starting to fall back on the side of not having one in 2018. I guess we’ll see.

  1. I love zinnias (now that I know what they’re called) – the top photo is my favorite.

I would love to hear the controversy someday.

  2. Zinnias look quite different when they are done blooming. They just keep adding levels of petals.

The very short version of the story is that I have an aunt and uncle that moved in with my Grandma. Which is good because she is at a point in her life where she couldn’t live on her own. They had the garage sale to downsize some of her possessions. Also fine, because as a child of the Depression, Grandma is somewhat of a hoarder. However, in the garage sale they put a bunch of stuff that my sister Teresa had made for my Grandma. Like blankets and afghans.
