Some experimental photos of flowers and a picture of guy that’s criminal incompetence endangered and probably cost the lives of at least 200 firefighters on 9/11 and then turned around and exploited their heroism to increase his national standing afterwards. Despite lying to them about the dangers of the air quality at the Ground Zero site. Then some experimental photography.

Probably thinking about the time he falsely claimed he spent more time at Ground Zero than the workers.

Last week was an insane week and I didn’t get out in my element much. Therefore, there aren’t many NATURE alternates I didn’t use. But here they are:

The newspaper photo was taken in a garage stuffed with old Buicks about a mile north of the terrible town of Gilbert.

The next two photos were taken down by the Des Moines River near Milton Lott’s Grave. You don’t know the story of Milton Lott. Well the short version is that his dad Henry was a coward and a murderer.

The last two photos were taken in McHose Park.

On Labor Day I was able to take a picture for Page 59 of the Photo Journal:

Page 59 – Take a picture of yourself as yourself.

Logan assisted with the production by moving the camera here and there. Johnathan watched in a distance.

While most people will disagree, I think that I don’t take enough pictures of rubber dinosaurs. Probably should get on that.

When I return from that great adventure, I will publish the submissions for NATURE. However, that doesn’t mean you can’t get started on this week’s theme:

WHITE! What a great theme! I don’t think I need to define WHITE for you. It is a color. Or more precisely it is all colors combined, but you don’t want to hear me jibber jabber about additive color mixing.

Since we are a few weeks deep into Youth Group Season and we will have a fundraiser coming up in the near future, thought I would share a few pictures from the first Youth Group from a few weeks back.

Seems like a great bunch of kids. The type of kids that you’d want to support for a Mission Trip by doing something as simple as eating. I mean… you have to eat any way.

The pictures in the folder 11-03-07 are from the Iowa State-Kansas State game. Including a couple pictures of a guy whose family owns a restaurant near Manhattan. I think he might have played professionally for a team with a really ugly color scheme.
