LSD the Bridge

I have a rather shocking confession. I have never done LSD. However, if I had tried LSD, I imagine the experience would be something like walking across the High Trestle Trail Bridge on a dark night.

Several weeks back my cousin Sarah and my Aunt Linda were in town and we did just that. Here are a few pictures from the evening:

Recently the neighbors have complained that the bridge is too noisy at night and now the authorities are turning the lights off at 9 PM. Very sad.

  1. I walk on it December. But I’m not necessarily normal.

Last year I went out there and walked the bridge during Christmas Eve. Granted, it wasn’t at night. In fact, it was during the morning and it was foggy. It was an amazing experience.

However, it is ridiculous. Those neighbors suck!

  2. I should point out that during the summer months, they won’t be turned off until 10:30, but they used to be on until midnight.

  3. I bet it would be gorgeous in fog. We still haven’t made it, though it is firmly on my to-do list. You did a great job capturing it!

  4. I’ve got more feedback on these pictures than any pictures in a long time. Which is weird and somewhat disconcerting.

Also, a surprising amount of people didn’t even know these lights existed. Which is weird and disconcerting.
