Iowa State should be embarrassed for only squeaking by a terrible Big Ten team. Hopefully allowing Iowa to hang around will be an eye opener and they play to their potential on Saturday night against Baylor.
Everybody keeps comparing this game to the Oklahoma State game. Big difference. This team is better offensively. However, something that is being overlooked by most people is that Baylor’s defense is incredibly improved. Their defense might be better than their offense now.
Plus, as good as Baylor’s offense is, it often struggles away from home (in relative terms) and can be slowed down by good defenses (which we might not have, but are getting there).
No way there is a repeat of last year. Too much pride. Too much Rhoads. Too much Mangino. Too much Burnham.
That is why this one is lower scoring than people think.
