Not actually using a song title for today’s journal entry for flowers. Almost every flower I photograph on the regular has a set title. Today I’m sharing only sunflower pictures, so I thought it would more apropos to use the name for all of my sunflower pictures. Painted without Instruction.
The name comes from an Ambrose Bierce quote from one of my favorite all-time books, “The Devil’s Dictionary”.
If you aren’t familiar with “The Devil’s Dictionary”, first of all, how dare you and second of all it is a satirical dictionary. The title Painted without Instruction comes from the definition for photograph.
Photograph: a picture painted by the sun without instruction in art.
Here is a collection of images of sunflowers from a sunflower patch east of Ogden:

I have one more collection of images from this flowertography session left to share!
