If everybody had your shoulder
To lean their head onto once in a while
Then they’d know what it means to be loved
They’d never feel alone in their milesThey’d wonder why life was so kind
When they close their eyes at the end of the dayAnd in the darkness there would still be a light
If everyone had someone like youYou’d nеver have to fight to be hеard
You’d never have to feel misunderstood
No more missing piece inside
Only knowing things will turn out as they shouldThe sun would shine a little brighter
The world would seem a paler shade of blueAnd in the darkness there would still be a light
If everyone had someone like you
In the darkness there would still be a light
If everyone had someone like youIf everyone could feel your kindness
Then they could find the heart to forgiveAnd in the darkness there would still be a light
-Writen by Phil Hanseroth and Tim Hanseroth (Performed by The Hanseroth Twins)
If everyone had someone like you
In the darkness there would still be a light
If everyone had someone like you
Oh if everyone had someone like you
If everyone had someone like you
Unless you are brand new here, you know that Brandi Carlile is one of my favorite musicians. The musician I’ve seen in concert the most. By far. It isn’t even close. Her backup band members and songwriting collaborators Phil and Tim Hanseroth recently released their first album called “Vera”. I can’t recommend this album strong enough. You should really stop reading this post and run out and by it. Like right now.
But in addition to being a great song, I thought it was the perfect song to use as “An Artist’s Notebook” journal entry the day before that most dreaded day on the calendar…. Valentine’s Day!
But Thursdays are for flowers. We are continuing the flowertography session I had in my yard on July 30, 2024.

There is still plenty of flowertography pictures from this day left to share! WooHoo!
The centered flower that is half-in-frame from the top with the water droplet is my favorite!
One of my favorites too!
