I’ll Always Know I Do

There may one day come a time
When I cannot recognize your face
I might know that I should know you from somewhere
But I’ll ache to remember such a place
I might wonder at the stranger in the mirror
Who still carries an old forgotten load
Or the many twists and turns life had to make
Just to lead us to the ending of our road

I may not remember how I know you
But I’ll always know somehow that I do
I might struggle for the words
But some place deep inside I’ll know the truth
I might think you’re a friend from a long time ago
Though wе’re all only strangers passing through
I may not remеmber why I love you
But I’ll always know I do
I’ll always know I do

I know there could come a day
When I don’t recall my favorite tune
Or the time I pushed a ring onto your finger
And spoke up through teary eyes to say, “I do”
But, if I should lose the way that brought us here
You know, we’ll still live just as freely as a song
And even if let go of your name
I will fight to keep my sense of right and wrong

And I may not remember how I know you
But I’ll always know somehow that I do
I might struggle for the words
But some place deep inside I’ll know the truth
I might think that you’re a friend from a long time ago
Though we’re all only strangers passing through
I may not remember why I love you
But I’ll always know I do
I may not remember why I love you
But I’ll always know I do

Written and performed by The Hanseroth Twins

This is just a reminder that is hard for me to put into words how much I love The Hanseroth Twins album “Vera”. It is a small masterpiece and this 3rd song off the album is one of my favorites!

But Thursdays are for flowers! This is the final collection of images I took on July 30th of last year.
