Time to share the rest of the collection of images I took at the Iowa State Capital back in spring. When we last left this photo session we had just stepped outside of the law library. The law library is beautiful, but I went on a Saturday and it is closed on Saturdays. You can get in with a guided tour, but most of the library is off limits. So the best day to visit and photograph it is during the week. This collection will start just outside the law library and end with some people protesting to end the genocide in Palestine that I just stumbled upon.

I have actually returned to the Capital a couple more times to do some photography of our gilded age. But I haven’t been inside on a weekday. That is a goal for 2026.
