You’re what?
You’re married.
Does it surprise you?
Fuck’s sake.
Yeah.
When?
Two years ago, when I find out
I’m pregnant with Ivonka.
(SIGHS)
So where is he?
He’s back in Czech Republic.
It’s over now and, you know,
I come here on my own.
(SIGHS) Man.
You all right?
(EXHALES)
What’s the Czech for “ocean”?
– Ott-san.
– Ott-san.
Pretty much the same.
Ott-san.
So what are you gonna do?
I don’t know.
There’s such distance between me and him.
He’s so much different
to me and so much older.
It doesn’t really work.
I’m fine on my own, you know?
It’s just, I don’t want Ivonka
to grow up without a father.
What’s the Czech for… “Do you love him?”
Noor-esh-ho?
Noor-esh-ho?
So…
Noor-esh-ho?
Noor-ho-tebbe.
ONCE – Screenplay by John Carney
Of course you know from either being around me or from the Ireland posts how much I love ONCE. Ted Lasso may have watched it twice. But I’ve watched it scores of times. Might be watching it right now.
It is probably hard to follow, but that is the way the screenplay is written. Not in normal screenplay format. I wonder if John Carney writes in a normal format these days. I’m sure we will find out eventually.
But Thursdays are for flowers. This brief flowertography session took place in my yard.
There is only one more collection of flowertography images left to share from 2025. Those were taken at the Botanical Gardens. Then it will be on to 2026!
