The second day of September! No better day to share the THE SELFIE PROJECT images from August. I managed to leave the state of Iowa in August. In fact August was an incredibly busy month. A month that I don’t think I will duplicate any time soon. I got to take two straight weeks off from the Computer Mine. That in itself is cause for celebration. But maybe it wasn’t busy according to your definition. You can be the judge.
Here are the images from August:

I was technically more popular in August, than in July. In July I took my picture with 38 distinct souls. In August, that number was 40. Although I don’t know 15 of them. Not really. I travelled quite a bit in August. I took selfies in 3 countries. The United States of America, Ireland, and Northern Ireland. I took selfies in 4 different states. Iowa, Illinois, New York, and New Jersey. I took selfies in the following towns: Indianola, (near) Maquoketa, Boone, Ames, Des Moines, Fort Dodge, Chicago, Dublin, Belfast, Howth, New York City, Newark, and Madrid. I imagine all of those numbers will be much, much lower in September, but I’ll try to maintain at least a small amount of popularity.

I’ll try to do better in September, but that probably isn’t going to happen.
Wait, you got rid of the good-luck beard?! No way!
What makes you think it is a good-luck beard?
I almost shaved it before going to Ireland, but thought Ireland would have plenty of beards. I was wrong about that.
I don’t know that YOU consider it a good-luck beard, but as you were wearing it during that tight Ireland win, I consider it to be one!
I didn’t think about it at the time, but you’re right – there weren’t a lot of Irish beards floating around. I can’t think of any? That’s weird.
I was told that in Belfast if they saw someone with a beard they assume that you just got out of jail.
That does seem fair up there…
