Hey you! Are you looking for a Thanksgiving meal that is absolutely free! Have I got news for you! Check out the flyer below:

(I don’t like our flyer, so I had it redesigned – Thanks Monica! – and am efforting to replace our flyer, if not this year, next)
On Thanksgiving Day the Boone First United Methodist Church is providing FREE Thanksgiving meals to absolutely anybody that wants one! And as an added bonus, you can see me!
And maybe you are a person that is blessed and you already have a Thanksgiving meal waiting for you somewhere. If you haven’t noticed, food insecurity is a problem that is only getting worse as the affordability crisis gets worse and food prices are continuing to grow out of control*, so if you know somebody that could use a Thanksgiving meal for any reason at all, please forward this information to them. You might be God’s messenger that they need on that day.
*We didn’t have any diet options in the Youth Group soda stash so I bought a 12 pack of Diet Coke before Youth Group last Wednesday and it cost me $11 bucks. $11 bucks!!! I know that is a minor gripe and there are people with real problems, but those kids better enjoy every last drop!
STICKERS! A great theme! But did IT stick to enough people to make it a popular theme? You will have to keep scrolling to find out!

Here is the list of rules for Year 12 of THE WEEKLY PHOTO CHALLENGE:
1. The picture must be taken between 12:01 PM today and 11 AM next Monday. This isn’t a curate your photos project. This is a get your butt off the couch and take pictures challenge!
- There is a limit of 2 submissions per person per theme. If you send me more than 2, I will use the first 2 that you submit. If you submit 2 pictures, make sure they are of different subjects.
- Deadline to submit your submission is 11 AM Central Time the following Monday. But that is a deadline. Pictures can be submitted as soon as you take them.
- To be considered the photographer of an image, you have to be the one that clicks the shutter. If you hand your camera over to somebody else to take a picture of you, you are NOT the photographer of that image.
- No screen captures. This is a photography challenge. Not a “look at what I found on the internet” challenge.
- Please include the location of where the picture was taken with your submission.
There are still 2 ways to submit:
- Email your submission to bennett@photography139.com.
- Text your submission to my Google Pixel 8 Pro.
It is the third Monday of the month and on the third week of the month I like to share a map of all the states where people have submitted from heading into today. Here is that map:

WooHoo! WooHoo! And Cathie joined the 4 Year Streak Club!!!! WooHoo! WooHoo! WooHoo! WooHoo! But it wasn’t all unicorns and rainbows. Johnathan couldn’t build on last week’s submission. His streak is over before it began. Mary’s streak is done at 2 weeks. Worst of all, Jen’s streak is finished after 3 weeks!
Enough dwelling on the past! Time to look to the future. We are all interested in the future, for that is where you and I are going to spend the rest of our lives. And remember my friend, future events such as these will affect you in the future! This week’s theme:
ODD CAMERA ANGLE
ODD CAMERA ANGLE! What a great theme for Year 12 of THE WEEKLY PHOTO CHALLENGE!
This is the fifth time ODD CAMERA ANGLE has ever been a theme. Here are some of my favorites from the Ghost of ODD CAMERA ANGLE Past:

Julie Johnson – Year 1 – Week 40

Monica Jennings – Week 326

Carla Stensland – Week 359

Micky Augustin – Week 395
To look at the entire ODD CAMERA ANGLE archive, click on the link below:
I look forward to seeing your interpretation!
That is all I got, so if the good Lord’s willin’ and the creek don’t rise, we will all be sharing your image in this place that is a bit odd next Monday.
