She was morning
And I was nighttime
I one day woke up
To find her lying beside my bed
I softly said, “Come take me”For I was lonely
In need of someone
As though I’d done someone wrong somewhere
But I don’t know where
I don’t know where
Come latelyYou are the sun, I am the moon
You are the words, I am the tune
Play meSong she sang to me
Song she bring to me
Words that rang in me
Rhyme that sprang from me
Warmed the night
And what was right
Became meYou are the sun, I am the moon
You are the words, I am the tune
Play meAnd so it was
That I came to travel
Upon a road that was thorned and narrow
Another place
Another grace
Would save meYou are the sun, I am the moon
You are the words, I am the tune
Play meYou are the sun, I am the moon
Songwriter: Neil Diamond
You are the words, I am the tune
Play me
Another great tune by Neil Diamond inspired by my recent viewing of SONG SUNG BLUE. A movie that is probably hard to find in the theater now, but when it comes to streaming, you should definitely give it a spin. Well, maybe a view. Since there isn’t really a disc that spins these days.
But Thursdays are for flowers. This is a smaller flowertography session than normal. Just a handful of images of strawflowers taken in my yard.
Next Thursday’s flowertography session will also involve flowers from my yard.
