Ireland Day 2: Giant’s Causeway

Last Friday we left off with Andy and I arriving at the Giant’s Causeway and working our way down the trail to the Giant’s Causeway.

You might notice that you won’t see Andy in many of these pictures. You might wonder why? Andy is a great travel companion for a large amount of reasons, but one of those is because he can self-soothe. What do I mean by that? He doesn’t just stand around irritated while I’m stopping and photographing something every few feet. In fact, Andy just completely disappeared on me at this point. Which is probably for the best. I didn’t feel the pressure to move faster than I wanted to move. He was able to find his own entertainment. He had met and was carousing around with a family from… I can’t remember now… so I’ll say Germany? Not going to lie. Travelling with me isn’t easy. Most of it is, but when I’m doing photography, it is probably super annoying for the people with me.

Here are more pictures. Including some pictures of what I would consider to be the actual Giant’s Causeway.

Ireland has reputation for being green. It ain’t no joke. Iowa is green, but Ireland’s green hits different.

That is North Atlantic Ocean in the distance.

These are the first rocks that are what I would consider the Giant’s Causeway.

Tourists! The worst!

Andy and his new friends are on the right side of this picture.

Andy is in this picture as well. Can you find him?

We got there as soon as we could, but the place was still just lousy with people!

Yes, that is Andy on that rock formation.

Did I pack 2 pairs of shoes? You’re dang skippy that I did!

There are still plenty of pictures from this most beautiful slice of the world left to share. More next Friday!

  1. These are just great, Chris!

I received a lot of whining the whole trip any time I took out my camera.
