I’ve only made it to Nights on the Green once this year. I’m not sure if there is one in October, so the subject of this entry might be the only night I made it up there.
There were 2 food trucks on the night I made it up there. One was Best Spudz. The other was the Sandwich Studio. It ended up being the wise choice for reasons that will become evident as you read on.
Here are some pictures of the evening:

The artwork on the truck was stellar!
The problem is that it was just kinda lukewarm.
But I still finished it because not all heroes wear capes.
Jay decided to go to Sandwich Studio.
And that is how he felt after waiting over 45 minutes for his sandwich.
45 minutes, that better be the best sandwich of Jay’s life!
There were no real winners at this Night on the Green. My mediocre potato was king in the land of bad food trucks.
My final verdict is that I would not go back to Best Spudz. It was a serviceable meal, but $13.50 was a steep price for a baked potato. If there were other food trucks in the area, I would try them. If I saw it set up in a parking lot by itself, I would keep driving. If it was the only food truck at an event I was at, I might begrudgingly go.
Next Sunday’s food adventure will involve a trip to Marshalltown with Brandon, Elainie, and Sabas.
