Looks like all the prices on camera gear are starting to go up no that the largest middle class tax hike in American history is starting to take effect. Good thing you bought when you did.

Thanks! I’m not sure what my favorite is in this collection. Also part of the reason I have such difficulty picking State Fair pictures. Well a few reasons. Another one of those is that I’m so far on photo editing. But at least these are only a few months old.
It’s like now we “get to” wait to buy any new gear for another three years. I just still can’t believe we’re in this moronic place.
You just enumerated the entire reason I make a poll; I cannot handle the whole making decisions thing. I try to figure out what empirically tells a story the best… and it’s often not right. So it goes.
OH, I saw that one dude in the “Photography Salon” Facebook group got all four in. And one guy (Chuck Miller?) who has traditionally done very well got in zero. So it’s definitely a random year.
I’m glad to hear that somebody got all 4 in. It can be done still. You don’t remember the name of the person that got all four in.
I Googled the Chuck Miller guy and am pretty sure I found his blog post on not getting pictures in. Seems like a good guy cause he hates Donald Trump. I think he is from New York. Or at least the northeast.
Oh, wow, I just found another one. I’m going to message them to you on Facebook, hopefully that will work. I’ve got to say – the female one I’m going to send doesn’t seem like it’s worth all four, and I don’t mean that to sound catty. The other one makes more sense to me. I hope that didn’t sound shady, I just didn’t feel like the one is better than, say, your work by any metric.
I just pored through his blog, and that makes sense! I see he’s competed in the New York State Fair – it looks like that fair only allows in NY residents, so that makes sense. And eff Donald Trump, this guy is my jam. I may have to subscribe to his blog after that.
