Taco ‘Bout It: East Lincoln Way Field Work

Back in early May I decided to hit up a different taco truck in Ames other than Rico’s Tacos. This is rare for me, but I decided I would stretch my wings a little bit. So I went to El Primo. This was also the day of the Kentucky Derby, so at the end there are some pictures of the small Kentucky Derby gathering I hosted that day that Jay made a bunch of food for.

Here are the pictures:

OBSERVATIONS

  • I don’t have many observations. El Primo is very good. It is a superior taco truck, but Rico’s is better and only a couple of blocks away.
  • All of the food that Jay made for the Kentucky Derby par was also fantastic, but the greatest accomplishment has to be the horse head that he crafted.

Next Sunday’s food adventure will involve barbecue, of a sort.
