This is the final collection of images I took while walking around Austin with Lowell on a work trip there.
When we concluded last Friday we were just getting ready to leave the Museum of the Weird. We will begin there and then take a walk down Austin’s famous Sixth Street where I met a few interesting characters.
Have a looksie:
Austin was one of the first places I’ve ever had people ask me to take their picture on the street. This was kind of common with drunk chicks when I used to do photography for Ames on the Half Shell. But rare when I’m just prowling around a city. The first of these pictures was of a comedian that was in town to be on some podcast or show I’ve never heard of… sorry. It was like Drunk Tony or Tony Kills or something. Anyways, I hope they crushed it. Their Insta handle is @kissmayoo if you want to look them up. The other was just a random group of dudes listening to music. No real story there. I think those 2 gentleman were houseless. But I’m not sure. They were enjoying life that day, I am sure about that.
At the Computer Mine Meeting, there really isn’t a lot of free time. Most of the days are long and the nights (at least one of the nights) is filled up with work activities. So there aren’t many other pictures from the rest of the week. But we will continue with the adventure next Friday.

Another awesome collection of street life. Thank you. Love to see what I’m in for when in town for work in 2026.
The live podcast “show”, the comedian in above photo is going on, is called Kill Tony, and it has very little value other than giving exposure to unknown comics/entertainers. Host Tony Hinchcliffe, the “comedian”, came to popularity through being part of Joe Rogan’s sphere, who is owner of Comedy Mothership, also photographed.
Elephant Graveyard produced a fantastic YouTube about them.
I’ll have to check out that YouTube video! I did get to go out quite a bit on the last day I was in Austin. So there will be hopefully some great street life images from that day too!
That’s right Kill Tony. Everybody else seemed to know what it was, but I had no clue. David Portnoy was in Ames for the game yesterday. He apparently is a pretty big deal but I’d never heard of him. And I do consume a lot of sports. So I definitely can get into my own bubble.
