Mutual Aid Rally I

Back on April 19, I had a big photography day. I went to Pella to do a little tulip flowertography. And I closed out the day at Iowa State University taking pictures of Virgil, the owl living in the Lagomarcino courtyard. But in between those two photo sessions, I went… Read More »Mutual Aid Rally I

Travel Home Day 1

Now it is time to begin sharing the collection of cruddy cell phone pictures of the trip home from Ireland to the Cyclone State. We got up in the morning and headed to the lumber yard/cafe and then headed to a grocery store to find a post office so that… Read More »Travel Home Day 1

Ireland Day 6

There aren’t many cruddy cell phone pictures from Day 6, the last day in Ireland to share. One of the things we did was far too dangerous to have a cell phone out. It wasn’t dangerous for us, but a cell phone would have definitely gotten lost. Plus I definitely… Read More »Ireland Day 6

Cyclone State: Spirit Walk

The last collection of images I shared from the Iowa State-Iowa game were pictures from around the Big Noon set. This collection of images are from the Spirit Walk. Here are some pictures: Still one more collection of images from this pre-game left to share. Maybe next Saturday.

You Could Never See

Time to clean up the January backlog. These images I took back in January, but they never really fit into a previous “An Artist’s Notebook” entry. We Sat on Your Roof

Going to wipe out the rest of the 2024 images (with the exception of the Howard Family Photo Shoot) in the next 2 days. These are a bunch of images that I liked, but never really found their way into a previous “An Artist’s Notebook” entry. They are all over… Read More »We Sat on Your Roof

Don’t Leave Me Now

This week’s flowertography comes from the 3 distinct trips I made to see Stink Floyd. You don’t know Stink Floyd? Stink Floyd was a corpse flower at Reiman Gardens that bloomed in May. Here are some facts about Stink Floyd from the Reiman Gardens website: Origins The corpse flower (Amorphophallus… Read More »Don’t Leave Me Now

I Don’t Belong Here

On Saturday I shared a collection of images from Greene County that were alternates for the ART theme for THE WEEKLY PHOTO CHALLENGE. Today I’m going to share the rest of the alternates. These were taken in Harcourt. Have a look: I’m almost out of 2024 images to share. Almost!

Let’s Make A Deal’s

In late October last year I made a trip over to Deal’s Orchard near Jefferson. I snapped a few photos. Have a looksie: The last few pictures were a picture of the stained glass flower that Jen made me for being in her wedding.
