While I’m getting close to having shared almost all the images from 2025 that aren’t from Ireland I looked back to make sure I had shared all of the 2024 photos. I knew I hadn’t shared the images from the 2024 Howard Family Photo Shoot. I’ve just been putting that off. But while looking through that folder, I realized that I never shared the pictures I took of Boone First United Methodist Church preparing our float for the Pufferbilly Days Parade.

I’m really glad I went through those pictures because I found some (if I say so myself) pretty great pictures in there. Not just of parade prep, but of the area around the storage shed where parade prep happened.

This year when we were putting the float together I couldn’t find the place to put the American flags. I’m glad I saw these pictures because now I know I wasn’t crazy. There used to be a place to put the flags. When the person took the train home to fix it up (Andy and I had to go out to the Schoffs barn and unbury the train where it had been stored and ignored for years) and make it more stable they must have removed the u bolts that held the flags. I wasn’t crazy.

Bonus picture of Boone’s outdoor piano thrown in at the end. You are welcome!
