Ireland Day 6

There aren’t many cruddy cell phone pictures from Day 6, the last day in Ireland to share. One of the things we did was far too dangerous to have a cell phone out. It wasn’t dangerous for us, but a cell phone would have definitely gotten lost. Plus I definitely wanted to maximize my real camera photos as much as I could on the last day.

We started the day driving to Howth to try to book a fishing charter, but the seas were to rough, so they weren’t going out that day. Then we went back into Dublin to check out St Patrick’s Cathedral. Then we headed back out to Howth to take the only sightseeing cruise that had the testicular fortitude to go out on the rough seas. Then we bummed around Howth for a bit and found a beautiful trail that we walked until Angie got injured. Then we dropped them back off at their hotel and Andy and I returned to our flat to pack for the flight home the next day.

Here are the pictures:

I’d drink tea with a dog!

St. Patick’s Cathedral

Built between 1191 and 1270 – this is the oldest building I’ve ever been in. That isn’t ruins at least.

Built on the site where it is believed St. Patrick baptized early Irish converts.

Johnathan Swift is buried here. Not this exact spot, but in the church.

Beautiful, but I think I liked the Galway Cathedral better.

Catholics never miss a chance to make money, but I guess they have all those lawsuits to pay off.

On the way back from the Cliffs of Howth boat tour.

Fish and Chips!

Finally something other than a disgusting Coke product.

Ice Cream!

That’s it from Day 6. Next Sunday (probably) start the collection of images from the trip home from Ireland. I would love to go back and hopefully some day I get a chance to return!

  1. I fully agree, I liked the Galway Cathedral better! And Christ’s Church. And probably the one that we visited in Belfast!

Those are impressive photos considering I was actively trying not to fall overboard!
