Happy Veterans Day!

Monroe County - Albia

Today, we pause to honor the brave men and women who have served our nation with courage, integrity, and unwavering commitment. Veterans Day is a time to reflect on the sacrifices made by those who stood ready to protect our freedoms — and to recognize the families who have supported them along the way.

It’s not enough to simply thank our veterans for their service. Millions of them rely on SNAP (which the current administration is suing to not pay) and the ACA (which the current Congress passed to raise the price of). Many struggle with PTSD and worry about access to mental health services. Today, on Veterans Day, let’s renew our commitment to keep fighting for those who fought for us.

A while back I shared about the 35mm lens I bought back in April and shared the first images I took with it. This is another collection of some of the first images I took with it. These are mostly pictures taken on Palm Sunday at Boone First United Methodist Church and of Bokeh where I was playing with the largest aperture setting.

Have a looksie:

It has been too long since I bought a new lens, maybe I should do that week. It isn’t like I’m not spending way too much money this week already or anything…
