Time to share another collection of images from my 2nd trip to the Iowa State Fair. This one with the good gents of Tall & Meaty. Last time we left off I was still prowling around the vacant fairgrounds before the sun came up.
We will start again there, but then we will go hit up one of my favorite parts of the Fair. The DNR Building and the little pond to the west of it. The one that holds ducks and turtles. I do love a good chance to photograph turtles.
One of the other nice things about being at the Fair for the barbecue contest is that I can take gear with me that is too heavy to carry around all day. But I can carry it around for a little bit and then take back to the tent where the competing is going down. And then stow it in the truck for the rest of the day once we break down.
So I brought my longest telephoto lens and then also played with a lens that Logan owns that is in the Top 3 lenses I covet. I thought I would have it in my possession now… but you know the stupid middle class tax hike known as tariffs has kept it out of my reach. For now.
