Burgertime: McHose Park Field Work

A couple weeks back I saw that a food truck that I hadn’t eaten at was going to be setting up show in McHose Park. I decided to make that my supper plans and headed out there for a little din-din.

The food truck was the Wobbly Pin based out of Nevada, Iowa.

Here are some cell phone pictures from the meal:

I love the ketchup and mustard propane tanks!

A lot of burgers and cheeseballs call “The Balls”.

I ordered “the cheeseballs” and they corrected me that they are called “The Balls”. So they take that pretty seriously.

I got the Gutter Burger. Cheddar, bacon, jalapenos, and gutter sauce.

It came with fries. Which for $13 is actually what counts as a pretty good deal these days.

The gutter sauce tasted better than it looks.

1st bite.

The balls!

Messy goodness!

They were kind of weird.

This task done, he would go free.

The Verdict?

I would definitely go back to the Wobbly Pin. Would I see them out? Probably not. But if they were in Boone again. I would hit them up! The burger was fantastic. The fries were good enough. However, The Balls? They were interesting. They were unique. They weren’t really for me. Sorry Uncle Lee!

Next Saturday’s food adventure will feature breakfast.
