Last Sunday I shared the breakfast meal Carla, Teresa, and I had on our road trip to Clinton to do some troll hunting. Today I’ll share where we went for lunch before turning around and coming back to Boone.
We ate at a microbrewery that I saw on “Road Trip Iowa”. What makes this microbrewery unique is that it is an old church and it is probably the most beautiful restaurant I’ve ever eaten at. It is called 7 Hills South. There is more than one location. There is also a 7 Hills in Dubuque and Dubuque again and North Platteville and Dyersville.
Here are the cell phone pictures:

Seems tragic this fountain wasn’t on.

Started with some Totchos!

They were delish!

I got the Ruben pizza!

Teresa got like a supreme pizza.

My pizza was absolutely amazing!

Mozzarella, corned beef, sauerkraut, and thousand island goodness!

Mozzarella, pepperoni, sausage, mushroom, onion, red pepper, green pepper, and marinara.

The Bokeh Tax is paid, even when she isn’t staring at me while I eat.

Carla got a sandwich, if you are wondering.

The Verdict?
Would I eat there again? In a second! That Ruben (that is how they spell it) Pizza was a revelation! One of the best pizzas I’ve ever had! I don’t think I would make a special 3 hour trip for it. But if I was in the Clinton area again… I would definitely effort to get back there!
Next Sunday’s food adventure will involve Iowa’s reigning Best Burger!
