A few months back I walked around the East Village with Teresa after we lunched at The Breakfast Club. I thought there was a small art festival going on down there, but I had read the calendar wrong and it was actually the previous day. No worries though, there was still plenty of art in the East Village to admire.

If couldn’t read the board in the cupcake shop, here is what is says:
Molly was my third-grade teacher. Whenever one of us had a birthday, she would bake the class cupcakes. She had her own special recipe for vanilla and chocolate cupcakes. I can still remember how good they were.
In honor of Molly, we help our local schools as much as possible. So eat up.

I love that a place like Molly’s Cupcakes that supports local schools exists, but what would be even cooler would be if we actually funded public schools and didn’t overregulate our teachers so that we could actually attract and keep quality teachers in this state, or we could transfer millions of tax dollars to prop up failing (and frankly not very good) private schools because an out-of-state donor gave Kim Reynolds a ton of money for her campaign. I mean it is a tough one, I just can’t decide which one is better.

The fact that our crap state government keeps under funding our SSA for students to not even keep up with inflation, let alone pay teachers what they are worth, makes me want to move every day. I also don’t understand how many people can actively vote against their families’ best interests.
We just love the East Village! Have you ever been to Clyde‘s Fine Diner? A group of our friends made me pick a restaurant for my birthday a few years back, and I stumbled upon it, and it has rapidly become one of our favorite restaurants in the area!
