Burgertime: Boone Food Truck Field Work

Back in early December a food truck was hanging out in the Boone Discount City parking lot and I was feeling pretty lazy, so when I took my lunchbreak from the Computer Mine I headed out there to grab some lunch.

The food truck was called Rolling Cravings. And here are a few pictures from the experience:

That’s okay. I happen to have my own seat.

I got a simple bacon cheeseburger.

And an order of the Popper Fries.

THE VERDICT?

The burger was nothing to write home about. It was a pretty good burger. But I don’t think about it on long lonely winter nights. In fact, I’d completely forgotten about it. Plus kind of crazy expensive to not come with any fries. But I also understand that beef is insanely expensive and it has been months since I purchased any from the grocery story at this point. Months!

However, the Popper Fries were the truth. I do often think about those on those long, cold, lonely winter nights. I would definitely go back and get those Popper Fries. But that would probably settle me.

Next Sunday’s food adventure will involve a barbecue joint in Ankeny.
