This Sunday’s food adventure involves the one and only one barbecue competition this year. Part of that was because of the business of their schedules and part of it was because one of them got a job. Part of it might have been because the Pufferbilly Days barbecue contest didn’t happen this year.
They didn’t earn their way this year through a championship at the Boone County Fair. Because they didn’t compete there. However this is a loophole that allowed them to compete at the Iowa State Fair without a county fair championship belt to their name. You can just enter the least popular categories just by saying that you want to enter. So they did! They entered lamb.
Gaze on some of the pictures from the Iowa State Fair barbecue contest:
Despite never having cooked their lamb recipe before, Tall & Meaty took second place in the lamb category! A pretty impressive feat.
Next Sunday’s food adventure will involve nachos at a corn festival.
