The Iowan Running for Governor in Iowa

This is it. We are really down to the end of the 2025 pictures I have left to share. Almost. There still are plenty of Ireland pictures left to share and I haven’t shared any pictures from Becca’s wedding and I haven’t shared pictures from the 2025 Howard Family Photo Shoot. But this collection of pictures I took of Rob Sand at a town hall he had in Boone County on October 14, 2025 is it for 2025 pictures.

At this time, people in Iowa have already been voting and Election Day (which in a true democracy would be a holiday) is closing in, before I show the Rob Sand pictures, I thought I would share a graphic that helps explain the most confusing thing on the ballot in Iowa. I hope it helps some people.

It reads:

Provides that any bill to increase the individual income tax rate or the corporate income tax rate, or the rate of any other type of tax based upon income or legal and special reserves, shall require the affirmative votes of at least two-thirds of the members elected to each house of the legislature for passage. Further, the two-thirds majority vote requirement applies to the passage of a bill to establish a new tax on any type of income or legal and special reserves imposed by the state. The requirement excludes taxes imposed at the option of a local government. A lawsuit challenging the proper enactment of a bill under this section must be filed no later than one year following the enactment.

What you should know:

This graphic urges you to vote No. But I’m not urging you to do anything. It does lay bare the facts. You can do with those what you may. But at least you have them if you didn’t have them before.

Basically it is a scam to make sure that corporations and the super rich continue to not pay their fair share of taxes and continue to

Here are the pictures from the Rob Sand Town Hall event. I didn’t really get a good vantage point and it wasn’t the type of event where I could move around, so the pictures are what they are.

I look forward to closing the book on 2025 at some point. We are very close to being there!
