After Jesse and I got done eating, we wandered around the festivities for a bit. Checking out the sidewalk chalk that greeted the riders as they entered Winterset. Eventually we ended up by the stage listening to the band Standing Hampton.

I remember Standing Hampton from my ill-fated time with the Ames Jaycees. They fit the mold of the bands they liked to book for Ames on the Half Shell. Meaning they are a classic rock cover band. However, one of the years I helped with booking bands, we looked getting Standing Hampton to play, but turns out they were way out of our price range.
