Time to share the rest of the pictures of the Big Boy as it stopped in Boone for the night.
I like many of these images of the maintenance crew working on the Big Boy and of people just coming to look at it. Something that really struck me while I was looking at these images was just the enormous size of the Big Boy. When you look at how it dwarfs the maintenance workers, it really puts it in perspective.
But this was only the first day of following the Big Boy. I also followed it after it left Boone and had another day filled mostly with failures. But I got to hang out with foamers. Don’t know what a foamer is? Don’t worry, I’ll feed you baby birds!
