I keep forgetting to share how I did in this year’s Iowa State Photography Salon. I got the yellow card in my mail box over 2 weeks ago and I don’t know if I’ve really shared what it said with too many people. Mostly just a few other photographers, my sisters, a few friends, and the people who actually asked. As you know, I’m not the type of person that runs to social media with the slightest bit of news hits my life. Then sometimes I forget about it. Then sometimes I remember. Then sometimes I share.
So without further adieu, here is the yellow card:
So three out of four in. No awards this year. That is a pretty successful year. Now I don’t know what 3 pictures I got in and which one they told to take a long walk off a short dock. And you know that I’m not that keen to share what images got in. But I’ll give you clues as to what to look for if you make your way to the Iowa State Fair Photography Salon and try to find my pictures:
- The general public has seen 3 out of 4 pictures I’ve entered.
- Me, the printers, the Iowa State Fair Photography Salon volunteers are the only people that have ever seen the 4th one.
- They are all color images.
- 1 entry is in the Fairs, Festivals & Parades Class.
- 1 entry is in the Things & Still Life Class.
- 1 entry is in the Plants, Flowers & Trees Class.
- 1 entry is in the Animals, Insects & Wildlife Class.
- If I had to guess, the picture in the Things Class was the one that didn’t get in.
