First day of July! No better day than to share the THE SELFIE PROJECT images from June. From the images it looks like it might have been a pretty lazy month. I definitely didn’t leave the state again, it almost appears that I barely left Boone. But I did take Bokeh for a ton of walks, so that in my book is a pretty good month! I do promise you that I will be leaving Iowa in July though. I even have plans and everything.
Here are the images from June:

I was definitely WAY less popular this month. In May I took my picture with 39 different distinct souls. In June that number tumbled all the way down to 17. Not only was I extremely unpopular in June and I didn’t travel out of the state, I think of all these selfies the only places represented besides Ames and Boone are Des Moines, Okoboji, and Webster City. Pretty lame job Mr. Bennett.

I’ll try to do better in July. But I probably won’t.
However, unless appearances are deceiving, you do appear to have befriended two different chainsaws last month. Maybe that needs to be a cameos metric from now on.
At the risk of being accused of mansplaining. one is a chainsaw. The other is a hedge trimmer.
But the use of manly tools could definitely be a metric.
Wow, man, I hope you feel good about all that mansplaining there.
Just kidding – I’m guessing the one later in the month that’s in motion is the hedge trimmer, looking at it closer now. Definitely both dude tools, though, and should absolutely be a metric.
For the record though. The family that lives next to me, the wife is the one that does all the mowing and yard work. I’ve never seen the husband do any of it. I’m just guessing his pimp hand is super strong.
The second one is the hedge trimmer. I did have a picture of me mowing last month, I believe. I’m “doing” some home repair this week. Hopefully some “dude tools” can lead to a picture.
Poor Jon has to do all of our yard work, other than I trim the hedges each fall. I’m allergic to trees, grass, dust, and pollen, which doesn’t make me mowing seem like a great plan. (So I guess very little pimp hand in our house.)
Perfect. If you could also use a lathe or something, that would also be great. (I don’t actually know what a lathe does, I think it’s for cutting wood in shapes or something, but I digress.)
Or you are the one with the pimp hand. Don’t sell yourself short.
The lathe isn’t happening, but a hammer or an axe or maybe even a hammer gun all could be in the future. Maybe even a drill.
He DOES know to do what I say or taste the back of my hand!
I was actually going to say drill instead of lathe, but then I figured, shoot for the stars. Even if I don’t know exactly what the stars do, in this case.
