Time for more from my super boring food “adventure” to lame Orlando, Florida. From this point on, I can’t say I had a single meal from outside the Hilton Orlando. Because there is literally nothing around the hotel besides the convention center and a collection of some of the worst soulless corporate franchise restaurants you can name. Denny’s. McDonald’s. International House of Pancakes. Yeah. All gross.
When we left off last time, this is what was left in the Per Diem Account:
$312.15
Here are the pictures:

I had to hit the area Walgreens to try to find some swim trunks and get my normal touristy stuff. Magnets. Postcards. Stickers. This sticker was on a garbage can outside of the Walgreens.

Next to Walgreens was a candy shop named the Chocolate Kingdom. This is what passed for entertainment in Orlando.

All things considered. Chocolaterie Stam crushes this place. Not close. Not remotely close.

My Mom used to this for Christmas treats all the time. Apparently it is just finally making its way to Florida.

No surprise, but this stuff was major gross. I think I only managed to force down half the bottle.

The 2nd best thing in Orlando (after Ben Folds) was watching this squirrel go to town on Lowell’s poolside drink.

Back at the Hilton Orlando sports bar for the 2nd time. Michelle K. paid for the tots.

This burger was probably the best meal I had in Orlando. At least it was the meal I had at the sports bar and I had four.

Although the onion rings were somewhat of a disappointment.

But this burger was the truth!

Lowell, Jodi, and Michelle.

Mango slush. This was the only food I had at the convention center that wasn’t from the snack closet. Beginning of Day 4.

At night was the annual Computer Mine thank you dinner. This was my 3rd meal at the Hilton Orlando sports bar.

So what was the damage from Day 3 and Day 4 in Orlando?
- THE DAMAGE
- At Chocolate Kingdom I spent $29.29 on a small amount of not great candy.
- With tip, the burger and onion rings was $40.15.
- The mango slush was $9.59.
- The party buffet was free.
After 4 days this is what remained in the Per Diem Account:
$233.12
Would that be enough to last the rest of my time in Orlando? Next week will come to the exciting final conclusion of the Orlando work adventure.
