After church a few weeks ago I took Brandon out for lunch for assisting with getting Morris, my 4 foot concrete alligator in place in my front yard. We went to Daisy’s Dog House in Ames. Logan, Dahlia, Jonah, and Andy all came along as well.
Here are some cell phone pictures from the meal:

The menu.

The sides.

I got the Italian Stallion.

They serve decent sized weiners.

We started out with some nachos as I am a well-documented nacho fiend!

The Italian Stallion!

I got the Jalapeno Popper Pasta Salad.

I got the side cause I wasn’t sure the dog would be enough to fill me up. It was enough.

It was good, but I think I will go with a different dog on a future trip.

They had a lot of great decor!

The Weiner Crew!

I’m thinking of putting up a similar sign on the door to my house.

The Verdict?
I will definitely be going back! It is a great hot dog. Don’t get me wrong. My heart still belongs to Superdog. )(I spent a good portion of last winter trying to replicate the Superdog after all!) But their hours are sporadic at best and it takes realistically 2 Superdogs to quench my appetite. One Daisy Dog is more than enough.
Plus Daisy’s has a super fun environment. Plus they do Bingo frequently on Thursdays if I ever get old and start playing Bingo. Plus Karaoke on Friday’s. Okay karaoke isn’t a bonus. But honestly the Bingo night does seem fun. It is drag bingo and it is described as “A dumpster fire with Bingo cards and questionable morals.” You had me at dumpster fire.
