Day 5. The last day I spent in Austin for the bi-annual CMC. This is the best day because it is only a half day of work. Then there is the rest of the day basically free. This was the best half day I’ve had at the CMC. Joe lives a few hours from Austin and he drove over and we spent the afternoon together. He, Lowell, and I walked around Austin and they got to know the pain that is being around me when there is street photography about. They claimed that it was cool, but I have my doubts.
This was by far the most time for photography I got and also by far the most interesting subjects.
We started our travels by hitting up Austin City Limits. I badly wanted to tour where Austin City Limits is filmed. It is one of my favorite shows, but it wasn’t to be. However, we did get to at least see the outside of the concert venue and visit the gift shop. While I never saw the inside of Austin City Limits, but they did get plenty of my money.
Then we did a stint on the river walk. The river walk is along the Colorado River… not that Colorado River. Not the famous one that goes through the Grand Canyon. Nope. Texas has it’s own Colorado River cause… well I will reserve commentary on the state of Texas at this time.
