Last year for my annual Birthday Road Trip I didn’t get too ambitious. I just cruised over with Nader to the Czech Village to check out the Houby Festival. I had pretty high expectations for the Houby Festival because your guy loves mushrooms.
We met Willy over there on what a morning that ended up being quite a bit colder than you would expect for a mid May morning.

I have to confess that I was disappointed in the Houby Festival. For a festival built around mushrooms, there were not a ton of mushrooms. In fact, hardly any mushrooms at all. They did have a ton of kolaches. I think they should change their focus to kolaches. When I think of Czechs, I think of one thing. Kolaches.
But that is just one man’s opinion. I still have plenty more pictures from the festival and this road trip left to share.
