This is the last collection of flowertography images from 2025. I took them in November of last year. I am a member of the Iowa Arboretum and that gets me free entrance into over a thousand reciprocal gardens. That includes the Greater Des Moines Botanical Gardens. It is a perk I should use more often.
Here are the pictures from my trip there:
I believe, but I’m not certain, that next Thursday we can start on the tulips from Pella. But I might have taken some flower pictures before that.

These are lovely!
I wonder if you’d have any blowback if, similar to how Thursdays are for flowers, you had something like Wednesdays be for insects.
I’m sure it would be the exact opposite crowd that complain about the flower pictures. But I definitely don’t care about blowback.
It would be fantastic, I just don’t have that many insect photos!
Now Outhouse Wednesdays? I don’t really get that many of those either.
I don’t know if it’s more or less fortunate that there are far more insects left in the world than outhouses – I suppose it varies on your needs from moment to moment.
Well, there are more insects than any other lifeform on earth.
But I thought about it and I have at least one friend that hates both my insect photography and my flower photography. It occurs to me, maybe he just hates my photography period. Or maybe he just hates me. Maybe he isn’t my friend at all.
Insects and flowers are two of my favorite kinds of photography! It would be quite the long game if he were acting like your friend and/or like he enjoys your photography just so he could complain about those two subjects.
