Halloween 2025 – II

Time to share the rest of my Halloween pictures from last year. These are all from Halloween Parade or from downtown Boone. What might be apparent in the pictures, but maybe isn’t readily apparent, it was COLD! Not as cold as it was for the lighted parade last year, which was brutally cold. But it was still uncomfortably cold.

They held the parade the same night as trick-or-treating and since Boone is a “real” (I can’t even put into words how much I hate the word real and its application to try to separate people from one another – but I’m using it in this context to look down on certain towns) town, trick-or-treating is always on Halloween. The parade followed the conclusion of trick-or-treating. There was a decent crowd, but I think it might have been larger if it wasn’t so stinking cold!

Here are the pictures:

The guy that was dressed as Michael Meyers didn’t seem to be part of the parade. He was just wandering the crowd… unless… you don’t think… that was the REAL (that stupid word again) Michael Meyers do ya?

This year the Downtown Business District (or whatever it is called) also had a Halloween window decorating contest. The pictures at the end of the collection are a reflection of that.

That is it for Halloween! I hope the parade becomes an annual tradition!
