Day 3 in New Orleans was the day I got the most free time. Things were pretty much setup and ready to go at the Convention Center. Tony and I just had to setup the computer for the training session in the morning. Run over and check on a few things at the Convention Center and then it was mostly my day to do what I wanted. I took a lot of pictures on Day 3. This one is going to stretch over 5 posts!
Here is the first collection of pictures. Beginning at the hotel and ending at the Saint Louis Cathedral:

Saint Louis Cathedral is one of the prettier churches I’ve ever visited. In its ostentatious way. Here is some information about it from their website:
The site of the Cathedral-Basilica of St. Louis, King of France, has been the center of worship for the Catholic faithful in New Orleans and a major civic gathering place since the founding of our city in 1718. The first permanent church, built in 1727, was burned in the fire of 1788.
With the generous support of Don Andres Almonaster y Roxas, the construction of a much larger church began. The Diocese of Louisiana was established in 1793, and the new Spanish Cathedral was completed and consecrated in 1794. In 1850, New Orleans became an Archdiocese, and in 1851 Archbishop Antoine Blanc blessed the newly expanded and restored Cathedral. Elements of the earlier churches are included in the present structure, and there have been many additions and improvements made throughout the years
In 1964, Pope Paul VI raised the Cathedral to the rank of Minor Basilica, citing its splendor, antiquity, historical significance, and pastoral zeal.
The faithful come here to pray, to worship, to express thanks, to celebrate Mass, to be baptized and to be married. A pope, generals, presidents, kings, and prime ministers have been visitors, and now it is our privilege to welcome you.
I definitely recommend a visit if you are in New Orleans and like looking at old buildings. I know I do!
Next Friday we will continue inside the Saint Louis Cathedral and end somewhere else. But still in New Orleans of course!
