Last year I went down to the Madrid Labor Day Festival to check out the now defunct competitive barbecue team Tall & Meaty as they competitively barbecued. I wasn’t able to stick around for very long, but I did take a few pictures of the annual Civil War re-enactment before I hit the dusty trail (IA-17) back to my homestead.

It is always an interesting show. I’ll probably effort to go watch it again this year. I always like checking out the Madrid Labor Day Festival. Even though strangely it has probably been 20 years since I’ve been to Ogden Fun Days. Strange. Even peculiar.
