The subject of the August is a baby pig snoozing away at the Iowa State Fair. I have so many favorite parts of the Iowa State Fair and can’t wait until I actually get to editing and sharing the images I took there last year, but one of my lowkey favorites is the Animal Learning Center. This is where you can see all the adorable baby animals that are born during the fair. Since it is the only completely enclosed building that houses animals, so it smells something fierce in there. But the terrible smell is worth it for the absolute adorability you witness. There are more than baby pigs. There are baby ducks, baby cows, baby goats… where there are a lot of baby animals. But the baby pigs are my favorite. Especially when they are sleeping and are cuddling up with their littermates. I chose this picture to represent August since the Iowa State Fair is in August, but I’m sure that one was pretty easy to figure out.

Tomorrow I will reveal the September image.

Time to share the final collection of images from Day 2 from my work trip to Philadelphia. Last Friday I was hanging out with the Liberty Bell. So we will start there and then hit Ben Franklin’s grave and end with that tour bus, that I was able to talk my way back on to the bus without a ticket. They loved me so much that they even brought me back to the hotel, even though they were heading back to the bus barn for the day. Good people. All of them.

Here is the final collection:

Day 2 was by far the day I spent the most time with my camera. Unfortunately I had to work the rest of the days, so the photo collections for the rest of the trip will be quite a bit smaller. Next Friday I will share the Day 3 pictures.
