Kalista Howard-Senior Picture As always, my favorite pictures don’t necessarily line up with the favorite pictures of the parents.

Debra and Brandon taking it easy on the dock. I should state for the record that I was willing to get into water to get this shot, but I didn’t have to do that, which is a shame, because it was blazing hot on this day.
Debra and Brandon posing for a selfie after their wedding. I was actually pretty surprised by how many pictures I took at this wedding. It would have equated to over 30 rolls of film.
Another rose from the State Center Rose Garden (Photo Assistant: Jesse Howard) The selection of today’s photo was also a salute to Russell. He has long been the biggest supporter of my flower photography. The word fanatic barely seems to describe it.
Before & After The Great Office Cleanup of 2014 The good news is that in addition to cleaning the office, I also was able to figure out which cable was bad and fix my home network problems. The sad news is that one of my monitors went kaput, meaning that… Read More »Photo of the Day 0080
Found this guy at Antique Archaeology in LeClaire. If I were to hazard a guess, I would guess that we heard customers ask at least 10 times if Mike and Frank were there. At least 10 times.
The Inner Willy When Willy found this wig in my basement I made a deal with him (one that DaeHee may recall), if you take it out of the basement, it doesn’t come back to the basement. The wig was a former possession of Jen Gorshe.
Jesse and I at Antique Archaeology in LeClaire. (Photo by random smoking stranger) I have now been to both the Antique Archaeology in Nashville and LeClaire. The one in LeClaire is vastly superior.
A Bennet in Bennett (Photo by Jesse Howard) In my first trip to Bennett (probably my last) I was a bit disappointed with the Bennett sign, but what can you do?
Wilton Candy Kitchen! After years and years and years of showing up at this place hankering for some old timey ice cream only to have a “CLOSED” sign laugh in my face, I finally was able to slay 1 of my white whales and enter the Wilton Candy Kitchen. I… Read More »Photo of the Day 0075
Why do people always put “No Trespassing” on sweet, sweet stuff? I guess this is the type of questions that would be answered by one of those inane Miller Fortune beer commercials.
Our friend Jay likes to talk about his concept of Money X sometimes. This would be a Money X purchase for me, to then give to Jesse. But maybe a few of us could get together, get a truck, and sneak over to Tama in the middle of the night… Read More »Photo of the Day 0073
Another rose from the State Center Rose Garden. I missed the sweet spot for this rose garden this year.
Yellow Rose from the State Center Rose Garden Jesse didn’t seem to know that this little gem existed. It may have been the highlight of his day.
I loved this sign and circled back several miles just to make a half effort to photograph it out my car window. Perhaps the last picture I post from my trip to Kansas.
The inside of this awesome castle type thing that Nate and I found on Vine Street. We really should have went inside of it and explored it but Nate was worried about being stabbed by homeless man, but we will return here some day.
Another look at giant shuttlecocks. Although I did enjoy some of the sculptures in Kansas City, the best sculpture garden I’ve ever seen is still in Des Moines. Go Cyclone State!
I think Nate actually did like this sculpture. … and really, what isn’t to like?
Sculpture from a Kansas City sculpture garden. This sculpture was one of my “must sees” when I went down to Lawrence to visit Nate. He was excited to stand outside in 97 degree heat looking at giant shuttlecocks.
Pink lily after some rain. It seems all the lilies that aren’t in my lily patch are doing well. The lilies in my lily patch? Now why did you bring those up?
