Shawn protecting his progeny during a brief bit of precipitation during Ogden Fun Days. Further proof that he is bona fide. It is a good thing for a man to be… bona fide.

Evie after knocking down a blue raspberry Tropical Sno. I’ve always viewed the drip catcher to be a purchase of suckers, but for Evie, it was a necessity.
Layla enjoying a drink during Ogden Fun Days. This picture slightly reminds me of a picture my Dad took of Teresa sucking down a Boyd’s malt back in the day.
Ogden Fun Days Parade Fun While it was fun riding in the Ogden Fun Days Parade, I do feel our lack of candy was a failure.
Typical Saturday. Just hanging with Cy. (Photo by Sara Lockner) Normally when I hang with Cy there are several thousands more people there than this.
The raspberries are coming along nicely. Full disclosure, the ones that I have are coming along nicely. However, they didn’t take to my pruning as well as I had hoped and there won’t be many raspberries this year. I know. I’m as heartbroken about it as you are.
Who doesn’t love lilies? This lily also resides in my house in the northeast corner of my backyard. Its best friend is the moonflower. Well, it survives the moonflower.
Who doesn’t love daisies? I definitely love daisies. I have a patch in the backyard and a couple daisies in the front by my lamp post.
A volunteer lily in the back corner of my yard. Usually I’m not a fan of orange lilies I’ve made an exception for this lily.
Sarah and Shawn’s Tiramisu Cheesecake created for the 1st Annual Methodist Men Pie/Cheesecake Auction When Eldon brought the idea of a pie auction up to me as a possible fundraiser to help pay for our broken down organ I was a little bit leery. A lily after a storm. This yellow lily can be found in my Mom’s front yard. If you know where that is, you should drop by and check out her many beautiful flowers. If you don’t, that is your misfortune.
Becca in the wind. It was a sunny and windy day, you know, a perfect day for a wedding.
The first sunflower of the year! My sunflowers have actually gotten out of control. I probably need to cut them back before they take over the entire yard.
Bear feeling Becca Jr. Becca Jr. is actually a boy and won’t be named Becca Jr.
My first lily of the year! I believe that I also originally got this lily at a United Methodist Women rummage sale. Like all my day lilies, it is dominating. We don’t need to talk about my Asiatic lilies.
Shorty, Becca, and James before the wedding. Shorty was James’ Best Man. A wise choice.
Yellow rose after storm. I got these roses for free from a Methodist Women rummage sale a few years back. A good addition to my driveway.
Revisiting the toad. I haven’t actually seen the toad since this day. I’m afraid Naima may have scared him off when she flipped him over.
Experimenting with a frozen flower theme. I need to revisit this idea when something other than a white flower is blooming in my yard.
Lumiloons from Relay for Life It was another great, powerful, moving Relay for Life.
