Photo of the Day 0134
Same bee as a few days back. Still getting his pollen on! I might have more bee pictures coming. I might not.

A bee getting his pollen on, in my backyard. My backyard is lousy with bees right now and I’m digging it!
A zinnia from the Iowa State Fair. The flower garden next to the Agriculture Building is one of my favorite flower gardens. So… get ready for plenty more pictures from it.
Another rose from the State Center Rose Garden. I missed the sweet spot for this rose garden this year.
Yellow Rose from the State Center Rose Garden Jesse didn’t seem to know that this little gem existed. It may have been the highlight of his day.
Pink lily after some rain. It seems all the lilies that aren’t in my lily patch are doing well. The lilies in my lily patch? Now why did you bring those up?
Who doesn’t love lilies? This lily also resides in my house in the northeast corner of my backyard. Its best friend is the moonflower. Well, it survives the moonflower.
Who doesn’t love daisies? I definitely love daisies. I have a patch in the backyard and a couple daisies in the front by my lamp post.
A volunteer lily in the back corner of my yard. Usually I’m not a fan of orange lilies I’ve made an exception for this lily.
A lily after a storm. This yellow lily can be found in my Mom’s front yard. If you know where that is, you should drop by and check out her many beautiful flowers. If you don’t, that is your misfortune.
Yellow rose after storm. I got these roses for free from a Methodist Women rummage sale a few years back. A good addition to my driveway.
Revisiting the toad. I haven’t actually seen the toad since this day. I’m afraid Naima may have scared him off when she flipped him over.
Toad Found this guy while I was weeding the lily patch. Naima enjoyed pawing at this guy until I made her leave.
One of my grandma’s irises. Don’t hold me to this, and I’ll deny it under cross examination, but my disdain for irises seems to be waning.
Marigold at the Northwest Greenhouse Some people don’t like marigolds. To those people I say, “Go suck an egg!”
One of my Mom’s purple tulips before it bloomed. I do love photographing tulips, but I don’t have any in my yard. I try not to put flowers in my yard that don’t bloom for very long. Sorry tulip!
The remainder of the Last Penny Series: Not sure what next week’s Personal Photo Project will involve. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
Last Penny This week’s Personal Photo Project was to photograph lilies. More from the Last Penny Series: Tomorrow I will present the remainder of the Last Penny Series:
The remainder of the Nature’s Amen – 2013 Series: Next week’s Personal Photo Project will most likely involve lilies.
