This is a picture of a flower that was entered into the flower competition at the Iowa State Fair.
Flower competitions remind me of an old quote:
God loved the flowers and invented soil. Man loved the flowers and invented vases.

This is lovely. I know red and yellow are also traditionally difficult to photograph, and these are beautiful – I love the low aperture and how artistic it makes this macro shot. Just beautiful.
