The Juncks with their restored Chevy Truck Would you believe that I actually edited Sara out of this picture?
Another flower from the Northwest Greenhouse In case you haven’t figured it out yet, I’m a fan of the Northwest Greenhouse.
Being a bride is glamorous. A sneak peek into what you might see at Snus Hill on May 24th.
From the Northwest Greenhouse I didn’t buy or plant this flower, but perhaps I should have.
Johnathan enjoying the Mother’s Day festivities. I hope everybody enjoyed their Mother’s Day!
Marigold at the Northwest Greenhouse Some people don’t like marigolds. To those people I say, “Go suck an egg!”
Brandon Kahler – 2014 Roundball Oracles ChampionI apologize for taking so long to reveal the champion of Year 10 of the Roundball Oracles. But I think my post college basketball season depression (or PCBSD as mental health professionals call it) was even greater this year than in years past. You… Read More »Photo(s) of the Day 0007
The stained glass windows behind the altar at the First United Methodist Church in Boone. I spend a little time in the sanctuary last night while I was waiting for my confirmation mentee. So silent and peaceful. The word sanctuary fits perfectly.
One of my Mom’s purple tulips before it bloomed. I do love photographing tulips, but I don’t have any in my yard. I try not to put flowers in my yard that don’t bloom for very long. Sorry tulip!
A pair of my Mom’s tulips. For the first time in several years, I actually didn’t make it down to Pella to take any tulip pictures. I blame the lousy winter that never quits.
Fun with everybody’s favorite golden and my new wide angle lens. It is hard to believe that such an innocent face could ever do anything wrong!
More “early” bloomers from my yard. I don’t actually know what these flowers are though.
First flower to bloom in my yard this year. Because like 1 person missed me, I am returning to blogging, but not at the level of ambition I may have shown in the past. I’m going to throw up 1 picture a day. No particular theme, just a photo a… Read More »Photo of the Day 0001
A couple of months back I went on a road trip with my Mom, Carla, and Alexis to witness Elainie’s most recent naval graduation. Here are a few pictures from Day 2 of that road trip: In case you were wondering, there were no pictures taken on Day of the… Read More »San Antonio Road Trip Day 2
March Madness is once again upon us. That can mean only 1 thing! It is time for the Roundball Oracles to gather once again and make predictions about the outcome of the NCAA tournament. I would actually like to start this by quoting the predictions I made about this year’s… Read More »Roundball Oracles – Year 10
The Alpha 35 is officially dead. It could be resurrected but the cost is, as they say, prohibitive. It will now sit on a shelf with the rest of the retired cameras. The picture above is the last picture the Alpha 35 ever took. It is the last picture from… Read More »RIP Alpha 35
I recently broke down and purchased a new camera as my 1st string camera is in the shop for some repairs on its card slot. The original company I sent it to couldn’t fix it and had to send it on to the manufacturer. I became paranoid that the camera… Read More »First Picture with the Alpha 65
Today’s image comes from the following folder: My Pictures/2007/1January2007/Before & After Next week’s folder will be: My Pictures/2007/1January2007/First Macros
A picture I’ve been meaning to post for some time. I just thought I should make a formal announcement that I am going to take a sabbatical from blogging formally. This sabbatical really already began, and I anticipate it lasting until at least May, but maybe longer. This isn’t to… Read More »Sabbatical
The remainder of the Last Penny Series: Not sure what next week’s Personal Photo Project will involve. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
