WEEKLY PHOTO CHALLENGE REMINDER – GOVERNMENT

Here is your weekly reminder for the WEEKLY PHOTO CHALLENGE.

This week’s theme is:

REMEMBER THE RULES!

1. The picture has to be taken the week of the theme. This isn’t a curate your pictures challenge. This is a get your butt off the couch (my personal experience) and put your camera in your hands challenge. Don’t send me a picture of you next to the Eiffel Tower, when I know you were in Iowa all week. I will point out that I have let that slide some in the past. I will not in the future. Since it is literally about the only rule.

2. Your submission needs to be emailed to bennett@photography139.com by 11 AM on the MondaY. It should be pointed out that this blog auto-publishes at 12:01 on Mondays. So it wouldn’t hurt to get your picture in earlier.

WEEKLY PHOTO CHALLENGE REMINDER – MUSIC

I had a request that there be multiple posts about the WEEKLY PHOTO CHALLENGE theme from somebody this week because they find it difficult to keep track of the weekly theme.

I told this person that Photography 139 isn’t a nanny state and that to do such runs contrary to Photography 139’s secondary Mission Statement. The one you don’t find on the ABOUT page of the Photography 139 website.

The Photography 139 Secondary Mission Statement:

We do not train to be merciful here. Mercy is for the weak. Here, in the streets, in competition: A man confronts you, he is the enemy. An enemy deserves no mercy. STRIKE FIRST. STRIKE HARD. NO MERCY SIR!

It is one of many Photography 139 Secondary Mission Statements.

However, being a magnanimous leader, I have consented to this request. At 4 PM on Fridays, I will post a blog reminding everybody of this week’s theme. I figure most people take their photo during the weekend and nobody should have to work later than 4 PM on a Friday. We weren’t meant to live like that.

In case you forgot, I’m in Milwaukee on a Mission Trip. Far from the yoke and chain of a computer.

I will post the submissions for BLUE upon my return. Most likely Friday or Saturday.

HOMETOWN!

The picture doesn’t necessarily have to be of your HOMETOWN. As long as it suggests to you the concept of HOMETOWN, that is all that really matters.

Due to my overall fatigue, my free time, my access to computers, and a technical glitch I won’t be posting submissions for this week until later tonight.

You can look at this collection of losers for RED from the WEEKLY PHOTO CHALLENGE in a couple of different ways.

Either I just wanted an excuse more pictures of my dog.

OR

Well that is interesting.

You see, there is a setting on my camera that drops out all other colors but red. It is far from 100%, but it creates interesting images.

RWPE Y2 #34 – STRENGTH

If you are reading this post, then I actually made it to Minnesota for Vacation Take 2. I have already eaten at :-DSpot and Hell’s Kitchen with Jill. I have probably attended the Minnesota State Fair and eaten at Dixie’s on Grand with Nate, Bethany, and Becca.

However, since I’m not currently in the Cyclone State, I have not processed any submissions for last week’s theme. I will publish those when I return. That doesn’t mean that you can’t get a start on this week’s theme:
