Slice of Life Vol. 62
If you look closely, I’m pretty sure Carla is on that Girl Scout float.
If you look closely, I’m pretty sure Carla is on that Girl Scout float.
A lot of old Pufferbilly Day Parade pictures in this collection: I still get pissed when I go by our old house!
A lot of pictures of the old Greene Street house and cakes.
Some pictures of me in some kind of Big Wheel competition. Plus a sweet picture of Carla and her friend with their matching bikes. Plus a couple of pictures of when we moved a garage.
I think that at least a couple of these pictures were taken by Carla as you can see her reflection in the bank window. Also, if anybody was curious what my patio chairs looked like when they were in good shape (or before the shabby chic look), you will find… Read More »Slice of Life Vol. 58
A few pictures in this collection will probably make you go: “AWWWWWWWW!!!”
I’m not really sure about most of these pictures, but I think a couple of them might be pictures of the old Bennett coal mine in Rippey. However, that is just a a best guess. There aren’t many pictures this week as the negatives were cut very short.
A bunch of historical documents in this collection.
These negatives seem to be highly damaged, but I still think there is some interesting stuff in here.
I think some of these pictures might have processed funny, but oh well, they still look cool.
I think some of these pictures were taken inside Wilson’s. I am mostly curious who the guy is in one of the pictures. He doesn’t ring any bells for me.
Life got away from me a little bit, so I’m tardy in posting these pictures. A collection of historical Boone artifacts in this volume.
Some pictures of the Teddy Roosevelt statue and Linwood. >
Some pictures of the Pufferbilly Days Parade, I’m guessing. Plus a picture of my first rabbit Fluffy. Apparently not as cute as I remembered. Or is it just that Foster Q. Bunny has ruined me for all other rabbits? Probably not, I never wrote a series of mildly successful superhero… Read More »Slice of Life Vol. 49
Some photos of historical documents.
More pictures of the Bass Creek High Bridge and historical Boone pictures.
My scanner was my friend this week. Several pictures of the Bass Creek Bridge in this collection. I’m also very intrigued by these “The First National Bank of Boone” bills. I assume these are probably in the safe deposit box with the rest of the coin collection, but I’ve never… Read More »Slice of Life Vol. 46
I had some scanner issues, so there are only 6 pictures this week. I’ll do better next week. Looks like some pictures of the High Bridge and Boone High Basketball. Maybe when they played at the DMACC gym?
I don’t really know where some of these pictures were taken at, but I can tell you that the weird thing on the side of the old domicile at 415 Greene were some form of early solar panels. The Bennett Family has always been ahead of the curve. There is… Read More »Slice of Life Vol. 44
I wish I knew where some of these train pictures were taken.
The weird thing about these pictures is that I’ve never seen them before, but one of the pictures is eerily similar to a picture I took for RWPE last year. The watch in a couple of these pictures also showed up in a RWPE picture last year.
