Those with astute memories might recall the flowers from RWPE – Plants and from The Digital Bouquet. They might even wonder what happened to those flowers. The project below is part of that answer.

Even Though We Love it
Although it is happenstance that this picture ended up being released to the general public on this day, it is also apropos.
A few other pictures from the “Even Though We Love It” Photo Shoot:

I took these pictures one cold February morning. I was going to take more pictures the following morning, but one of the neighborhood rabbits (I’m guessing) had other ideas. Something ate these flowers before I got a chance to revisit them.
I loved the RWPE – Plants photo, because it took me a bit to figure it out! What a perfect day to post this shoot – the flowers just really pop against the snow. You usually see all of the lush green surrounding them – it really makes these photos interesting.
You can barely tell that flowers are dead. I was hoping that the first day of spring was going to be considerably warmer than it was on Saturday. I tried to talk Steve into going on a drive in his convertible on Saturday but he wimped out. I don’t know what it is about Computer Mine men that makes them so soft. I hope I don’t become one of them. It has always been a mission of mine to remain “tough as nails”.
The title comes from a Dogen quote (apparently a 13th century Buddhist teacher):
“A flower falls, even though we love it; and a weed grows, even though we do not love it.”
